Dearest Catherine, I opened my email today and found out you had left us to go be with Jesus.  It took me a moment to get my mouth to close as I am so shocked that, like my sister, you've gone.  We have chatted and talked many times, but I did not know you were so ill.  My heart has another hole in it where you lived.  No one can fill it for you, but I will be praying for your chldren and your family.  Farewell, dear one, and give my family a hug when you see them.  Sweet sleep and hopefully you can remember we did a great New Orleans!!!! My love to you always, and one day, we wll see each other again.  I loved you in the past and  love you into the future.  May your soul soar heavenward on gossimer angel wings.  Rest in peace and glory in the face of Christ.  Always and forever, Valli Herrington Saucer

So sorry to hear of Cathy's passing.  Cathy was a part of my life through our days at Kate Shepherd, Azalea Road, and Davidson.  Whenever I visited Mobile, I always thought of her when I passed Love's Pharmacy.  As I read her obit, it was clear she was a teacher, a servant, and a strong member of her family.  I think we all grieve a little when our high school friends pass.  I am thankful for David, Bobby and all the others who keep us connected.  Good bye Cathy....I am blessed to have known you!
